Gary Ballard the Master Caterer of GB Catering got his start in catering over 30 years ago.
His first event was catering Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches, Brunswick Stew, Italian Sausages
with peppers and onions, Hamburgers, and Hot Dogs for an Elementary School Fundrasier.
Both the Fundraiser and the Catering were instant successes. After his first event the requests
for his catering services started coming in. His catering was so popular that Gary decided to
incorporate and started GB Catering LLC. Gary bought a resturant in Dunn, NC where he
specialized in Pork BBQ, Baby Back Ribs, Steaks, and Southern Cooking. The resturant was a huge
success and the catering side of the business was booming. Eventually though Gary decided
to pursue other interests selling his resturant and closing the catering business.

Gary is also a USCG liscensed captain and had his own fleet of boats on the NC coast.
He was captain on board the 85 foot head, Blue Heron II for over 30 years as
well as the Old Man and Sea Dragon which were offshore charter boats. He also ran
a commercial shrimp and off shore fishing boat. Captain Gary has decided to give up fishing
completely and reopen GB Catering due to overwhelming requests for his services.
As of October 2015 GB Catering will be up and running on a very limited basis.
